Week 7 Volleyball rankings

Walton still holds the No. 1 ranking in Class AAAAAAA with wins over Woodward Academy, Roswell and Lassiter last week. Etowah is still in the No. 2 spot with North Forsyth in third place. Newnan fell from No. 5 to No. 6 following a loss to Mt. Paran Christian. Kennesaw Mountain made a jump from sixth to fifth after Newnan’s tumble.

Greenbrier is still the team to beat in Class AAAAAA.

Week 7 Softball rankings

East Coweta is in control of the state’s highest classification again this week. The Lady Indians had victories over Calhoun, Buford, North Gwinnett, West Laurens, Wheeler and Alexander last week. Newnan is still trailing East Coweta in the No. 2 spot with Lowndes at third. Grayson, previously No. 5, moved into the third spot, replacing Parkview as it slid to seventh following losses to Jones County, Northside-Columbus and Eagle’s Landing

Maxwell Week 6 Summary: Lee County on top in AAAAAA; Odds for AAAAAAA At-Large bid

The Maxwell Ratings will rank the Georgia High School Association’s 418 teams throughout the 2017 season. The ratings are based entirely on historical performance and on field results and do not consider personnel changes on the roster or coaching staffs.

Interesting results:
– Lee County and Tucker have been close in the ratings for a couple of weeks, but the Trojans received just enough of a boost from their 49-0 victory over
