Blessed Trinity 35, St. Pius X 21

It was a game that began as an old-school slugfest but it ended with some new-school fanfare.

Two long creative passes were enough for the No. 2 Blessed Trinity Titans to pull away from the St. Pius X Golden Lions for a 35-21 victory on Friday night at Blessed Trinity Stadium. The Titans (2-0) have now extended their win streak over the Golden Lions to five straight games.

Warner Robins – The memories of playing Houston County with Jake Fromm at quarterback haven’t been good for many teams the past few years.

Peach County knows, having watched Fromm lead Houston County to a 49-31 win in 2016.

The Trojans, Class AAA’s No. 1 team, took advantage of the absence of Fromm and several other playmakers and topped the Bears 44-14 Friday night in non-region action at Freedom Field.
