In Class 7A, Milton makes its debut in the top 10 after splitting a two-game series with Lambert and improving to 12-4. Etowah slipped out of the top 10 after losing its third-straight game in a close 5-4 matchup with Roswell. Despite Etowah’s talent, a 1-3 start in region play was enough to bump the Eagles.

In Class 6A-7A, top-ranked Lambert’s 8-1 start to the season encases a 7-0 record against instate opponents.  The Longhorns’ perfect 7-0 start boasts a whopping 17.1 goals per game average and an average margin of victory of 13.4 goals per game. For three weeks now, Peachtree Ridge remains the team to beat in the 7A classification. Berkmar took over the No. 2 spot as Etowah fell to third. Parkview made a jump into the fourth spot after being ranked fifth last week. Norcross fell one spot from No. 4 to remain in the top 5. Marietta took a tumble from No. 7 to No. 10 and Brookwood moved from No. 9

Two losses for South Forsyth dropped them out of the No. 1 spot which made is possible for previous No. 2, Peachtree Ridge, to take over the top spot in the state’s largest classification.  Peachtree Ridge is fresh off 2-1 wins over Mill Creek and Duluth. In Class 7A, top ranked Walton extended its current winning streak to eight games on Tuesday with a 4-0 win over Roswell. No. 2 Mill Creek defeated Discovery 10-0 on Wednesday to push its winning streak to 10 games. Within the 10-game winning streak includes victories over ranked Parkview, Brookwood, and previously ranked Norcross. North Gwinnett leapt Parkview for No. 3 in this week’s poll and remains perfect with a 14-0 record.

n Class 6A-7A, Pope suffered an 11-10 overtime loss to Centennial on Wednesday and slipped to No. 3 in the polls. Lambert, which handed Centennial its only loss of the season in a 20-11 Feb. 28 meeting, takes over the top spot. The Longhorns’ lone loss came to Maryland’s Calvert Hall this past Saturday.

In Class 6A-7A boys, Pope opens with No. 1 spot after building a flawless resume through its first six games. The Greyhounds are averaging more than 13 goals per game against a gauntlet of powerhouse programs. Pope’s wins include an 11-6 home victory over Allatoona to open the season and road triumphs over Milton (11-6) and Westminster (8-6) before scoring a 14-7 victory over Greater Atlanta Christian on Tuesday.

Grayson took an 18-6 lead after the first quarter, but Brookwood closed out the half with a 19-10 edge in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 28-25 at the half. The Rams regained control in the third quarter with a 22-12 advantage and closed out the fourth quarter with a 23-14 edge. Travis Anderson led Grayson with 21 points. Nick Edwards added 15 points
