Tattnall Square 13, Stratford Academy 7

How the game was won: After beating Stratford Academy 7-3, Tattnall Square edged Stratford in another low scoring game. An Ahmad Barron third quarter touchdown run proved to be the difference as the Eagles ran out of time on their final drive of the game.

Top Performers: Antoine Davis scored from seven yards out and Ahmad Barron ran home a 22-yarder. Stratford’s lone score came on a 69-yard Noah Hill run in the first quarter.

Fellowship Christian 38, George Walton Academy 7

How the game was won: George Walton scored the game’s first touchdown on a halfback pass, but Fellowship scored 38 straight points, expanding on a 14-7 halftime lead.

Top performers: Fellowship quarterback Jack Hardin was 7-of-14 passing for 164 yards and three touchdowns, two to Ryan Reid. Hardin rushed for touchdowns of 18 and 6 yards, finishing with 62 yards rushing. Reid had six catches for 145 yards and touchdowns of 65 and 47 yards, and Andrew Minkert led the team with 100 yards rushing. Hardin’s first touchdown pass was to tight end Trevor Lewis. Garrett Depew was perfect on extra points and capped scoring with a 21-yard field goal.

Prince Avenue 55, Mt. Pisgah 13

How the game was won: The Wolverines raced out to a 41-0 halftime lead behind three Grant Roland touchdown passes and two Thomas Huff touchdown runs.

Top Performers: Grant Roland ignited the rout with a 77-yard touchdown strike to Christian Parrish. Roland added a 10-yarder to Parrish and a 66-yarder to Noah Campbell. Thomas Huff ran in touchdowns of 26 and 53 yards. Sam Wessinger went 42 yards to the house while Noah Campbell and Dalton Owens scored on runs of six and three yards respectively.

Landmark Christian 13, Darlington 12

How the game was won: Landmark got the ball after a punt touchback with five minutes to play, embarking on an 80-yard touchdown drive capped by a touchdown pass from 25 yards out with under three minutes left. Landmark’s two-point try was unsuccessful, but Darlington’s final drive ended with an interception, allowing Landmark to run out the clock. Darlington had built a 12-7 lead in the third quarter after getting a safety.

Top performers: Joey Blount found Nick Toomer for the game-winning fade pass, and Lofton Tidwell scored Landmark’s first touchdown on a 15-yard run. Tidwell also caught a long Blount pass to help advance the War Eagles’ winning drive. Toomer had the interception that stopped Darlington’s final drive, which advanced to midfield.

Calvary Day 10, Savannah Christian 7

How the game was won: Calvary Day defeated Savannah Christian for the second time in its last two games. After defeating the Raiders 28-14 in the season finale, the Cavaliers took a first round bye. Calvary Day jumped to a 7-0 halftime lead before holding off Savannah Christian’s comeback attempt.

Wesleyan 45, Pinecrest Academy 8

How the game was won: Wesleyan led 38-0 in the fourth quarter before Pinecrest got on the board, getting 523 yards of total offense.

Top performers: Wolves quarterback Banks Ramsey had three passing touchdowns and one rushing, accounting for 353 yards of total offense (219 pass, 134 rush). Two of Ramsey’s touchdown passes went to Harrison Cook, while his third of the night went to Grant Frerking. Mateo Rengifo hit a 34-yard field goal right before halftime to give host Wesleyan a 24-0 lead at the break, and George Bielan (4 yds) and JD Kavel (62 yds, last play of the game) also rushed for scores. Cornerback Jason McCleskey had three pass breakups, and linebacker John Morris had 10 total tackles.
